The article focuses on operation of the ship shaft generator joint buses main switchboard through a frequency converter that consists an uncontrolled rectifier and self-excited inverter with pulse width modulation. most common schemes using generators ships are given, their advantages disad-vantages analyzed. There has been illustrated flowchart given detailed description 
 electric power plant take-off from engine. A control system regulating constant flow interlinkage in “frequency - generator” complex, which ensures stable output voltage, developed. It stated random change rotational speed or torque fluctuation rotor have little impact quality generated electricity. Simulation modeling complex is MATLAB/Simulink software package. developed controller supports continuous by vector control. demonstrated composition principle voltage regulation method. Modeling proved availability system. oscillograms input current values obtained. results justified changing provided high indicators. Harmonic distortion coefficients static deviations expediency combined filters higher harmonics to eliminate interharmonics network proved. Practical recommendations improve electrical generator.
